This Wednesday, I'm giving a talk called, "Kicking the top bad habits of project management". Over the years I've collected and distilled what I believe to be the top 5 factors that account for the lion's share of software project woes... Most of them are applicable to projects other than software too, but my findings have been in the software field. I (obviously ;) ) have some strong thoughts as to what to do about these factors as well.
The venue is the Ramius Corporation's boardroom. This is part of a series of lunch & learn's they have stared, called Periscope - a chance for people to look up from their daily grind and be exposed to something different, but related to their work.
Now, you'd think I'd have thought to post about this event here sooner, but (blush), I didn't 'til just now. And I'm afraid we hit our 30 person capacity within a few days of putting the word out!
