Craig,
I just dove into DevShop–watched the videos, read your blog, reviewed a couple recommended complimentary products (e.g. Adobe Connect & Concept Share). And I’m extremely excited. I’ve had my eyes on DevShop for probably 4 months now. And I’m finally going to put all my projects into it (starting small of course).
…Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that because I think this product is fantastic, and it definitely shows your js/ajax UI skills. It’s just lovely.
Otherwise, I do hope you branch out of the “scheduling” category you classify DevShop as being in mainly (i.e. out of the 3 categories you mention in the Bad Habits video). It would be really cool if there was more in terms of dumping plans into the system. I’m not exactly sure how yet, but there must be something better than attaching layouts next to To-Do items…For web development, it would be really cool if there was an integrated site-map that links to actual pages, which ultimately plugs in to tasks assigned. For instance, you’d build a site-map, upload layouts for each page, and a user story for it, and then you’d assign pages from the site-map to developers and all the documents (which obviously could be more than layouts and user stories, e.g. UML, etc) would be passed along too. And then from there, you can expand upon it and go deeper, and split up different aspects of building 1 page or a group of page (e.g. different processes…I dunno, I’m just thinking that with site-map tools, with layouts, and UML, there could be a very neat way to pull assignments out of it.
Anyway, great stuff man–I can’t wait to stack up a history for my developers, and use this software to the max!

Hi James,
Thanks so much for the comments! I’m glad you like what you see. Definitely, the plan is to branch out beyond “just scheduling”… Ideally, to include most of the must-have apps for dev teams…
Cheers,
Craig.
